Jesus this is good. Spotted Horse is one of the best albums that came out last year. I ended a 6 month moratorium on buying vinyl for this thing.

Whores – Baby Bird

The Village — Sun, 06 Oct 2013 18:22:25 +0000

New Whores. I’ve listened to nothing but this single song for the last 30 minutes.

Go buy it, and while you’re at it buy their last album too. It just got a vinyl repress on clear with gold haze.

Kowloon Walled City – The Pressure Keeps Me Alive

The Village — Wed, 01 May 2013 21:06:00 +0000

Slow and sludgey with just enough rock.

The last 3rd drags a bit, but it’s still a great song.

Buy this, and their other releases at kowloonwalledcity.bandcamp.com

Ladder Devils – Kids Get Meaner

The Village — Fri, 29 Mar 2013 03:33:00 +0000

The world needs more dirty rock tinged with metal/hardcore. Like a lot more.

You can download the album this song is from for “name your own price” (free) from Ladder Devils’ bandcamp page, as well as a couple of older releases.
