THE BUTCHER BY THE BODY
I’ve never liked Full of Hell. I think its the vocals. Its either too Cookie Monster or too high pitched scream.
The Body, I just kind of overlooked. I checked out “No One Deserves Happiness,” I remember some hype and something about Beyonce, but it didn’t do anything for me. But after listening to “One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache,” the collaborative album this track is from, I will be revisiting it.
The doomy sludge of this track is fantastic.
RORCAL - Ἀντιγόνη BY RORCAL
Some pissed of Swiss.
The song is nearly 13 minutes long, as are the other 3 tracks from the same album. Which is crazy for this type of music, but I’m looking at each song as a separate little ep. It makes it more digestible.
You can download the album this song is from (Creon) and all the band’s other releases for free from their website.
TRANS DAY OF REVENGE BY G.L.O.S.S.
I think part of the reason I overlooked this band during their brief run, was that musically its not anything amazing or even that original. Just dirty raw punk.
However, it is a cut above a lot of the bands that have a similar sound. Its also hard to argue against their message or for giving a voice (and an angry one at that) to a marginalized group, especially in a subculture that is not always as welcoming as it claims.
WOMB BY MUSCLE AND MARROW
“Of all the types of music you listen to, I hate this kind the most.”– My wife.
Slow and moody and maybe a little sexy?
I really like the first track from the almum, “My Fear” a lot. Its like the rest of the album, but with John Carpenter synths on top of it. Its really good, but not a great resprentation of the album as whole, “Womb” is beter at that.
F.E.F.E. BY TENDER DEFENDER
Members of Latterman, Iron Chic and RVIVR (which are all basically just members of Latterman)? Hell yeah.
This ep is great.

TAKE THIS PAIN AWAY BY CROWHURST
The internet (the band’s band camp page included) keep referring to this band/album as Black Metal. If this really fits into that genre, I probably need to examine my “Back Metal is bullshit” theory.
My favorite track on the album is actually “Dried Blood and Old Earth, ” a 13+ minute ambient sludge track. But “Take This Pain Away” is a better representation of the album as a whole.
