A million years ago, I was at the door of an Eagles Lodge paying to get into a show, and the dude running the door just like half shouted, "Ugh is someone wearing cologne?" He looked directly at me, and I very sarcastically said, "Yeah, I absolutely wore cologne to the show." He looked at the other dude running the door and said, "Of course it would be the guy in the Empire State Games shirt."

I go back and forth on Quelle Chris, I’m into it right now though.

Danny Brown came really close to getting signed to G-Unit, but it fell through because 50 Cent didn’t like his look. 

Shit is redic.

I’m pissed that these guys are a local band, and I had no idea they existed. I’ve been missing out, hard. 

The band just put out a 4-way split 7" with ChildBite, Hellmouth, and the Golden Torso of Black Flag covers. And it looks like the plan is to do a series of 7’s with the same bands each time covering a different hardcore band (Dead Kennedys, Bad Brains, Misfits, and Minor Threat).

I know this album is getting a lot of attention right now, but it deserves it.

Get it.

The only time my wife has ever truly been scared a of a pit or even being too close to it, was The Armed.

Because I’m not cool, I knew this song before I knew who Minor Threat was. However, this band was my gateway into the world of indie/punk/hardcore or whatever the hell else we’re calling it these days.

Late 90's emo from Detroit (ish).

The album is a bit uneven. Some songs leaning a bit too much into growled hardcore, and others a bit too slow. But the songs that stay a bit more in the noise rock/ Pissed Jeans realm are great.

All and all, You’re Gonna Get Yours is still a pretty listenable record with a lot of great moments.
