CITIZEN KANE BY THE LORD
One of the guys from Sunn0))) making the type of music you would expect, but it is all inspired by Bernard Herrmann, the composer behind movies like Vertigo, Psycho, Cape Fear, and Citizen Kane.

Open Mike Eagle records are all slow burns with me. I feel I never really get into an album until the next one is announced.
You already know Phoebe Bridgers is great.
If you some how don’t already have this fantastic album, go get it.
I'm pretty excited about this album; their tracks from Neighborhood Gods Unlimited were great.
What I'm not excited about is $60+ shipping for colored vinyl. Good God, Backwoodz.
I wasn’t really into this album when it came out. Something about it just seemed off for me. But that something kept pulling me back to give it another try. It took some time but “Anime, Trauma and Divorce” grew on me, hard, until it became one of my favorite albums of 2020.
Go Get it.
What if Josie and the Pussy Cats were real and late 90s/early 00s pop-punk band?
Got get it.
PS, they just put out a cover of “3 Small Words” from the Josie and Pussy Cats movie.
The album is called “Schmaltz,” and dear lord is it, but I love it.
One of my favorite albums of 2018.
This song has been stuck in my head for the last 4 months.
When this album came out the band made an Instagram post the listed each song and the various mental health organizations you should could contact if you identified with the song a bit too much. Shit was heavy. I couldn’t really listen to it when it came out. Work was a real shit situation and listening to this album made me want to drive into Into on coming traffic.
Its a great album, and if they had been able to tour and really promote this album last year I think they would have really blown up.
Go get it.
The internet (the band’s band camp page included) keep referring to this band/album as Black Metal. If this really fits into that genre, I probably need to examine my “Back Metal is bullshit” theory.
My favorite track on the album is actually “Dried Blood and Old Earth, ” a 13+ minute ambient sludge track. But “Take This Pain Away” is a better representation of the album as a whole.
