Sleeping Village is a year old today. In that year:

I changed the site name from Jackass Operation to Sleeping Village.

There were 227 posts, well short of a song a day.

It only has 30 Tumblr followers.

The two most reblogged posts were, Botch “To Our Friends In The Great White North” (89) and Snowing “So I Shotgunned A Beer And Went Back To Bed” (69). The Snowing one just came out of no where. Like a month after it was posted it just blew up. It’ll probably be in the 70s by the end of this week.

Seven bands had more than one song posted; Small Brown Bike, Bruce Springsteen, Isis, Suicide Machines, Frank Turner, Coalesce and The Gaslight Anthem.

No band had more than two songs posted.

Things I’ve learned about Tumblr: 

• Yes, it is down again.
• People only like animated gifs.
• Nearly everyone on Tumblr is 17 and thinks loud, shitty tiled backgrounds are awesome.
• Tumblr search sucks.
• Honestly, it sucks really bad, how can you not find the post I just made?
• Having a backup Posterous account is a must .
