I was going to try to avoid posting too much Doomtree, but fuck it, I love this.
I love how over the top, bombastic, and just damn ridiculous this song is.
I can not stop listening to this album. I had intended to post this a week ago, but it sucked me in, and I lost a week.
You Can Just Leave It All is a great album, and is much better than the band's previous efforts, which I thought I liked. I absolutely love the addition of post-rock elements.
Buy it digitally here or here. Or just use the link on the band’s Facebook page and download it for free from mediafire.
This sort of sad bastard music was something i was pretty into a few years ago, but that love has faded. I still like it but I don’t really actively seek it out (the last 10+ posts are good evidence of that).
I saw PJ last night, and this song just grabbed me. The line “my hands are well acquainted with my mouth” has been stuck in my head all day.
There are two released versions of this song. The “original” is from an album called “You Didn’t Know I was Alphabetical.” Its the more full band alt-country (his words) version. The second version (what I posted) is from an album called “22, April: Vienna, Austria.” This one is how the song sounds when he tours, just him and a guitar.
Version 1 is alright, but version 2 crushes it.
Listen to the entire album here.
This is the only thing that seems even close enough to pissed right now.
Ridiculous name aside, this kills.
Drone metal with a little thrash in the middle, so good.
They have 8 releases up on their bandcamp page.
I am that goddamn son of a bitch.
I forgot how much I love this band.
Former members of fantastic French band Daitro, turning down the yelling and turning up the 90s indie/emo thing.
Punknews.org album of 2011. Get stoked. Or get “meh, ” it's punknews.
I’m pretty sure the dudes in this band are paying royalties to Rivers Cuomo. Some songs on this record are so damn Weezer-ish (Beach Community, Famous Friend), good first 2 albums Weezer, but still Weezer.
This song is from their first full-length, “Joyce Manor.” Overall, I have to be in the right mood for the album, punky Weezer isn’t where my head is at most days, and dude’s voice can wear on me pretty quick. However, I love the hell out of the track I posted, Constant Headache. I have yet to get tired of it at all.
With all said, they put on a great show, and you should see them every chance you get.

A song from the excellent soundtrack to an excellent game, Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP.
Buy the album here (MP3, 180-gram vinyl, or cassette) and the game for iOS or Steam.
I highly recommend both the game and the soundtrack.
